Tree of Life incense is inspired by my beloved, one-legged teacher: an ancient Eastern Plane Tree that grows in Kziv Creek. The tree is rooted in the pure running water, and has a unique quality of roots and branches joining or merging together, creating imaginative shapes and cavities in the tree formation.

Incense cones, hand-rolled in the traditional technique, made from finely ground botanicals, including local aromatics that were ethically foraged: fallen leaves and outer bark that I found in the creek. The aroma is unique, reminiscent of the sweet smell of Kziv Creek, and also burning leaves. It was created in two different formats: Incense cones (bound with natural gums or wood bark. No saltpetre or charcoal used in these cones); and a Kyphi-style loose incense blend, bound with local organic honey, wine and  raisins.

No saltpetre or charcoal used in these cones. Cones are generally faster burning than a thick joss stick (range of burning time may be from 7-15min, and produce more smoke. They are more convenient to burn while traveling and outdoors, and they stand on their own base, and therefore don't really require special equipment or vessels.  

Burning instruction: Prepare a heat-proof vessel, on a sturdy surface away from flammables and out of reach of children and animals. To prevent scorch marks, it is recommended that you layer some sand, earth or ash on the vessel.  Place the cone and light the tip of it, and allow the flame to extinguish. Because these are handmade cones, each has a different burning times. 

Kyphi-style should be burned on a charcoal in a designated vessel, or in a bowl filled with sand. 

Tree of Life Incense cones come in a box containing a dozen cones.
Tree of Life kyphi comes in a glass jar and can be either burnt on hot charcoals, or placed on an incense heater for a gentler and smoke-free aroma. 

 

 

Triple Goddess incense cones were handcrafted with reverence to all phases of the moon, and all facets of womanhood - Maiden/Mother/Crone, the birth, pregnancy and softening of the age of wisdom. This incense is created with women's healing in mind, for all stages of life, but especially for times of transition, large and small - be it birth, loss or the monthly bleeding time.

Triple Goddess incense cones were conceived on a a Full Moon Monday and are infused with energy that is meant to aid and assist women and girls during the time of bleeding and any other challenges faced by Womanity.

Incense resins of the three colours representing the Life-Death-Life cycle were chosen lovingly for this blend: Frankincense and White Copal for the Maiden; Dragon's Blood for Motherhood, Bleeding and the "Fertile" years; and Black Copal, Bdellium and Myrrh for the wisdom of the Crone. These were all manually ground with mortar and pestle, and mixed with finely powdered red and white sandalwood for an even burn of mysteriously fragrant smoke.

Burning instruction: Prepare a heat-proof vessel, on a sturdy surface away from flammables and out of reach of children and animals. If you don't have a designated incense vessel, you may use any heat-proof ceramic or glass bowl with some sand, earth or ash. Light a piece of coal, and allow it to catch the heat completely, until the stage when it is fully covered with grey/whitish ash. Place the hot charcoal on top of the vessel or bowl with sand. Sprinkle a pinch of the loose incense on top of the hot charcoal, or place a single pastille. Enjoy the smoke and add more loose incense or pastille once the smoke has run its course. 

Wild harvested Varthemia and Zutta (Micromeria fruiticosa) - wild white mint - that not only smell delicious but also have health benefits - calming and with positive influence on the heart, as well as a good all-around antimicrobial actions and aiding digestion. Most importantly: It smells and tastes heavenly! Here it is blended with black Ceylon and Assam teas, to make it full-bodied and suitable for a morning cup of tea or an afternoon treat. Drink on its own, or with milk and/or wild, local, unpasteurized honey.

Ruh Khus is wild vetiver distilled in the Indian wilderness in portable copper stills. Its distinct earthy, copper-like aroma, married with the intense licorice sweetness of tarragon absolute creates an outstanding aroma that is at once sweet & dry, earthy & clean, warm & cool. Along with vetiver from four other countries, Vetiver Racinettes is quirky and appearling, like aromatic roots and rootlets brewed to a bubbly rootbeer.

Our first scent is Vetiver Racinettes (with vetiver, ginger, cardamom and coffee). This new version of our soap is handcrafted in-house using strong-brewed, fragrant Arabian coffee, plus a sprinkle of coffee and cardamom for a bit of exfoliation. These cold-processed bars have incredible lather and are moisturizing leaving your skin smelling fresh and feeling smooth and nourished. Ingredients: Saponified vegetable oils (coconut, olive, palm, castor), water, jojoba oil, coffee, cardamom, proprietary essential oil blend.

White Potion Sensual Body Oil with Tuberose, Coconut & Sandalwood, which contains coconut oil and emollient & viscose shea oil. Reviving the ancient art of anointing the body with aromatic oils. These original formulas will leave your skin smoothly nourished and adorned with a beautiful perfume. Apply as a moisturizer after bathing to clean and damp skin, or use as a massage oil. A few drops can also be added to a bath for scent and to nourish the skin. The base oil for these anointing oils is slightly different from scent to scent, but they all contain Fractionated Coconut Oil for a non-greasy fast absorbing application. They also have nourishing Jojoba Oil, Avocado Oil or Shea Oil, anti-oxidant Tea Seed Oil, and skin-cell-regenerating Squalane Oil (olive derived) and Vitamin E. The scents for the formulae were chosen for the skin-benefits that some of the essential oils in the original perfume contains.
