Every morning, I go on a faux commute to Coal Harbour, to watch the aquaplanes take off and land. The marine aspect of the city haunts me, and the notion of taking a plane to one of the islands captures my imagination. Life is brief, like the trail that the plane leaves in its wake. And once we take off, there will be no trace left in the water.
Although Coal Harbour is the last in the Perfume4aPlace series, it is in fact the one I've conceived first. And as my time to go on my next adventure and leave this city approaches - the handkerchief I will be waving will smell of low tide, jet fuel, fresh cut grass and linden blossoms.
Top notes: Galbanum, Mimosa, Elemi
Heart notes: Linden Blossom CO2, Balsam Poplar Buds
Base notes: Seaweed Absolute, Fossilized Amber Resin (from prehistoric pine), Pine Absolute
Fragrance Families: Marine, Leather, Green, Floral Fresh

Every spring, the rhododendrons awaken - first slowly, to build anticipation. By early May, these fragrant azaleas paint the edges of Lost Lagoon with an explosion of colours and tropical scents: lily, ylang ylang and cool suntan lotion. Bluebells, violets, magnolia, lilac and syringa contribute their luscious perfume to the already fragrant air; and freshly cut grass from the Pitch & Putt is the only reminder you're still in the Northern Hemisphere...
Lost Lagoon is the third perfume in "Perfume for a Place" series, dedicated to Ayala's favourite places in Vancouver.
Top Notes: Bergamot, Lemon, Galbanum
Heart Notes: Rhododendron, Magnolia, Ylang Ylang, Violet
Base Notes: Oakmoss, Amber, Iris
