Fête d'Hiver incense evokes a snow-covered rose garden, cobblestoned ancient city, blanketed with snow on the longest night of the year. Whiffs of fragrant mulled wine escape the door as someone enters it, shaking the snow off their furry coat collar. Picture yourself entering an ancient stone cathedral for Midnight Mass, lit with beeswax candles on the darkest night of the year, and shrouded in a thick cloud of frankincense smoke mingled with roses, lilies and orchard breeze from far away lands.
Fête d'Hiver incense was created especially for the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year. The fragrance is redolent of frankincense, amber, rose, jasmine, orange peel, grapefruit blossoms and spices. It is rich, dense and
Fête d'hived Winter Solstice Incense cones come in a box containing paper-wrapped bundle of 18 incense sticks.
To burn the incense sticks: Place the lit stick (light the tip and then blow out the flame) on a bowl full of ash (preferably rice ash). This will enable the stick to burn without any bits left off. If you have a designated incense dish with a hole you may also use that. It will leave a tiny bit of incense unused though.

Inbar is Hebrew for amber, and is a fresh interpretation of a genre that tends to be syrupy sweet, powdery and linear. Here it's been given some oomph with herbaceous Garrigue notes that cut through the old-fashioned ambreine accord: wild oregano oil and tincture of sharp varthemia that I foraged and prepared myself from the mountain on which my studio is built.
Top notes: Bergamot, Wild Oregano
Heart notes: Jasmine, Rose, Clary Sage, Varthemia, Propolis
Base notes: Labdanum, Vanilla, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Benzoin, Hyraceum

New perfume that captures the wonderful scent that can be experienced in late summer and early autumn in the Pacific northwest rainforests: It emanates from the sun-dappled fragrant forest floor on those warm days when the sun brings out the sweet smells of redcedar, moss & Douglas fir…
If the word "Petrichor" describes the smell of the parched earth after the rain, then this perfumeaccurately captured the wonderful cedrechor scent - "blood of the cedar" - the smell of the forest after the sun. Cedrechor can be experienced in late summer and early autumn in the Pacific Northwest rainforests: It emanates from the sun-dappled fragrant forest floor on those warm days when the sun brings out the sweet smells of redcedar wood chips on the forest floor, mingled with antlered perfume (another name for oaks) and Douglas fir needle.
It's the Pacific Northwest equivalent of the Meditteranean "Garrigue" (the intoxicating odour of sunbaked earth and scrubland, dominated by sage and labdanum), and in my mind I've been describing it as "Forest Amber" or "Pacific Chypre". But non of these names seemed to capture the magic quite as perfectly. So I've reached out to the Japanese language, which has a special word for the interplay of light and leaves, which includes the sunbeams one would observe coming through the trees and shedding light on the vapour they exhale; as well as the dappled-gold forest floor, a vision that is shifting yet constant, as long as the sun is there. This is the essence of komorebi in the Pacific rainforest.
This perfume is the first in a series of perfumes dedicated to special places in the Pacific Northwest. Place of inspiration: Cathedral trail in Xwayxway (Stanley Park)
Notes: Redcedar, Fir, Oakmoss, Black Cottonwood
Fragrance Families: Woody, Ambery, Chypre

Lost Lagoon is the third perfume in "Perfume for a Place" series, dedicated to Ayala's favourite places in Vancouver.

Mt Meron is a holy mountain in the Western Galilee, the second highest peak in all of Israel. Oak forests and regal Cedars of Lebanon grace its evergreen slopes, and its peak is usually shrouded in clouds, fog and mystery. It is home to unique vegetation, some plants that are found nowhere else in the country, which grow on a bed of quartz crystals, nonetheless.
May Meron are cleansing and purifying waters, made in the tradition of Aqua Mirabillis - the miracle waters of Medieval Europe, in the early days after the discover of alcohol distillation. This fragrance is inspired by an autumn pilgrimage to Mt. Meron, which is abundant with wild medicinal herbs, Medronho berries, and saffron crocuses. These healing waters were born out of a collaboration with Jullius Craft Distillery and are the perfume interpretation of the magical and healing Jullius Bitters, which are redolent of wild herbs such as white mint (Micromeria fruticosa), sage, myrtle and mastic.
Apply these Mt. Meron Waters just as you would any perfume, as well as in rituals for their protective, grounding, warming qualities, or for purification at the beginning or end of a healing ceremony.
