Palo Santo incense cones are a potent plant medicine, originating from Central and South America, where it has been used for time immemorial in smudging ceremonies and healing rituals. It is grounding, balancing, promotes mental health as it is both uplifting, energizing and protective. Palo Santo develops the essential oils and resin that give it its unique perfume only after the tree dies down, teaching us that even after death, separation and endings there is hope for beauty and strength.
Palo Santo incense cones are hand-rolled in the traditional method, made only from finely ground botanicals: Palo santo wood, marigold petals and yerba santa leaves, bound with natural gums or wood bark. No saltpetre or charcoal used in these cones. Cones are generally faster burning than a thick joss stick (range of burning time may be from 7-15min, and produce more smoke. They are more convenient to burn while traveling and outdoors, and they stand on their own base, and therefore don't really require special equipment or vessels.
Burning instruction: Prepare a heat-proof vessel, on a sturdy surface away from flammables and out of reach of children and animals. To prevent scorch marks, it is recommended that you layer some sand, earth or ash on the vessel. Place the cone and light the tip of it, and allow the flame to extinguish. Because these are handmade cones, each has a different burning times.
Each box contains a dozen cones.

The inspiration for this unique incense blend is an encounter with a Red Dragonfly that sat on my hand one morning while meditating in the creek. Sweetgrass & Tobacco Incense cones are a powerful herbal medicine, inspired by the Indigenous People's smudging ceremony. Tobacco is a protective plant that connects us to our ancestor's spirit; and sweetgrass, believed to be the hair of Mother Earth, invites sweetness and goodness into our space.
Here I used wildcrafted sweetgrass from Canada, and tobaco grown in my teacher's garden to create a potent smudging cones for both protection and sweetness. Together I feel they create a very balanced and balancing energy.
These are hand-rolled in the traditional technique, made from finely ground sweetgrass and tobacco leaves, and bound with natural gums or wood bark. No saltpetre or charcoal used in these cones.

Tree of Life incense is inspired by my beloved, one-legged teacher: an ancient Eastern Plane Tree that grows in Kziv Creek. The tree is rooted in the pure running water, and has a unique quality of roots and branches joining or merging together, creating imaginative shapes and cavities in the tree formation.
Incense cones, hand-rolled in the traditional technique, made from finely ground botanicals, including local aromatics that were ethically foraged: fallen leaves and outer bark that I found in the creek. The aroma is unique, reminiscent of the sweet smell of Kziv Creek, and also burning leaves. It was created in two different formats: Incense cones (bound with natural gums or wood bark. No saltpetre or charcoal used in these cones); and a Kyphi-style loose incense blend, bound with local organic honey, wine and raisins.
No saltpetre or charcoal used in these cones. Cones are generally faster burning than a thick joss stick (range of burning time may be from 7-15min, and produce more smoke. Kyphi-style should be burned on a charcoal in a designated vessel, or in a bowl filled with sand.
Tree of Life Incense cones come in a box containing a dozen cones.
Tree of Life kyphi comes in a glass jar and can be either burnt on hot charcoals, or placed on an incense heater for a gentler and smoke-free aroma.

Burning instruction: Prepare a heat-proof vessel, on a sturdy surface away from flammables and out of reach of children and animals. If you don't have a designated incense vessel, you may use any heat-proof ceramic or glass bowl with some sand, earth or ash.
