Moon Breath is a meditative perfume oil consisting primarily of heady white flowers connected to the moon. Jasmine, ylang ylang and frangipanni create the floral core, uplifted by notes of grapefruit and Bois de Rose. The base provides a deep anchor and is grounding through the ever-changing cycle of tide and breath.

Top notes: Bergamot, Grapefruit, Rosewood, Frangipani

Heart notes:  Jasmine, Gardenia, Ylang Ylang

Just like the Greek Goddess of Wisdom it is named after, this perfume radiates masculine strength and power alongside a feminine mystery. Its spiciness is solidly laid on a rich ambery-woody base with exotic, sensual heart of champaca flowers.

Palas Athena, the Greek Goddess of Wisdom and War may seem like a far fetched inspiration for what is a very Indian fragrance. But if you smelled Palas Athena with its rich champaca notes, you will understand why.

Both potent, powerful, gentle and warm - this perfume was such a natural fit for an incense blend that I couldn't resist the challenge of turning it into an incense. And this is my first time creating with some unusual traditional Indian materials little known in the West, and very tricky (and sticky!) to work with. It may not be perfect yet, but I'm pleased enough with the result to want to share it with you.

Palas Athena Incense cones and masala sticks are made in the traditional Indian way, and hand-rolled from unique botancials - resins, woods and spices that are unique to Indian incense crafting. This unique blend of exotic woods, spices, resins and flowers is very much an homage to the famous Nag Champa type of incense that is immensely popular but has long been tempered with synthetic additions.

from finely ground botanicals such as sandalwood, agar wood, spices, resins and herbs, and bound with natural gums or wood bark. No saltpetre or synthetic fillers are used in this incense.

Each box contains a dozen cones, or masala sticks.

The inspiration for this unique incense blend is an encounter with a Red Dragonfly that sat on my hand one morning while meditating in the creek. I always felt that dragonflies were magical creatures - catching the light with their bejeweled wings as they flutter between water and air. The red one is also fiery!
Red Dragonfly incense cones are hand-rolled in the traditional technique, made from finely ground botanicals such as dragon's blood, red sandalwood, frankincense and spices. 

No saltpetre or charcoal used in these cones. Bound with natural gums and wood bark only. 

Each box contains a dozen cones.

Sandal Ale combines the rich smoothness of Australian sandalwood with effervescent notes of apricot essence, piquant marigold and tangy hops to create a unique, refreshing sandalwood cologne. The result? A smooth, fruity, fresh, complex, piquant and intriguing brew, reminiscent of apircot wheat ale.

Whether if you like to drink it or not, beer is full of nutrients for the skin, including B complex vitamins and amino acids which are nourishing and protective for both skin and hair. Hops is known for its skin-soothing, moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties, and the brewer's yeast is said to have antibacterials qualities. Here it is paired with skin-protective sandalwood oil and ground heartwood for a subtle and delicious fragrance. 

We're using olive oil that was cold-pressed from olive which were organically grown in Clil; Oganic virgin coconut oil (both are food grade), palm oil and castor oil for that extra emollient quality. The result is a hard, long-lasting bar with rich lather that is very moisturizing - a real treat for your skin, hair; and with a delicate yet wonderful, woody-hoppy fragrance that is surprisingly elegant. 

Ingredients: Saponified vegetable oils (coconut, olive, palm, castor, shea butter), Pale Ale and/or Amber Ale craft beers, natural fragrance (essential oils and absolutes of Australian sandalwood, Atlas cedar wood), Sandalwood Heartwood (ground) 

Sunset Beach is a little piece of heaven tucked away in the midst of bustling boat-False Creek and busy traffic on the bridges that cross it. It is that happy place where time stops and the only thing that matter is the tides, currents and basking in the gentle evening sun. You can spend the day there or just bring a hectic workday to a serene close with a beachside walk or a leisurely picnic. Fragrant Harlequin glorybower and Robinia embellish its borders, and in midsummer you'll find musky wild blackberries and hot-pink everlasting peas along the shoreline. And if you're particularly lucky, you'll find yourself swimming alongside a playful harbour seal. Sunset Beach can be anywhere... Mine just happened to be in Vancouver. I invite you to uncork a bottle of this daydream and experience a truly creamy sandalwood perfume complemented by handmade tinctures of pandan leaf and milky oolong tea, coconut massoia bark and dreamy champaca.
